When I pull your cork, it won’t be loud or showy. It’ll be soft, deliberate, like undressing a secret I’ve kept too long. That first sip—god, I already know it’ll hit me right behind the eyes, warm and familiar, like coming home to myself after a long year of pretending.
I might not share you tonight. Or maybe I will, one small pour for someone who gets it. But mostly, this is private. This is mine. This is me saying, out loud and only to you: I deserve something this beautiful, this thrilling, this deeply, selfishly good.
