Zen Rosé from Abruzzo
A close friend nicknamed me “the General.” I find the nickname quite funny but when I stop to think about it, it’s very fitting. Why? I run “the show” - I give 110% to everything that I do - be it work, studies, family, friends, with 15 plates spinning in the air at once, I keep the it all in line all the while with a smile on my face. However, as the expression goes, the tank cannot run on empty forever. The General keeps running on fumes which is no good for anyone in this equation, especially me. These are the moments that I have to mentally stop myself and reset. Meditation and yoga are important practices that I do to regroup, stay centered, grounded and zen.
I’ve said it before, and I will say it again, rose isn’t just for summer sipping. It’s an all year wine. A fresh, delightful and extremely affordable rosé can be found in Colline Teatine IGT, Abruzzo, Italy. A warm day with fall in the air, I needed a rosé that had more body and oomph to it. Who’s with me?

Pours into the glass a rich salmon copper colour.
Swirl and fresh aromas of strawberry, stewed cherry, red apple, peach, pear, melon and rose petals thanks to cool and controlled stainless steel fermentation.
Sip and the medium bodied creamy texture coats your mouth, with good intensity of the aromas along with tangerine, tomato leaf, yeasty dough, minerals and a hint of warm spice with a fresh acidity. It’s super fresh, has rich fruit and a Rosato with substance.
Pair with sunshine and a yoga mat - or if you are feeling hungry, a burrata tomato & cumin salad, orzo with cilantro pesto with pan seared tuna or some salty Parmigiano and olives.
