The single varietal series are focused on classical Dão regional grape varieties, in their purest form. Selected from two parcels (this case number 2 and 7) to create beautifully balanced terroir driven wines. Microclimate created/protected by mountains from northern winds and Atlantic influences, the 100% Encruzado grown on granite soils at 530 meters altitude. Hand harvested, whole bunches, fermented in a combination of 40% in used 500-litre French oak barrels, 30% in cement Tulipe tanks and 30% in stainless steel tanks.

Pours into the glass a very light yellow color. The aromas are so mineral saline rich, if it’s possible you can smell the granite it’s so racy. The mouthfeel is linear with an exuberant acidity, such life to the flavors of highly balanced grapefruit, lemon zest, apple blossom, peach, lemon juice, saline, minerals, savory herbs oregano thyme rosemary ending on almond bread savory herbs. It is a wine layered medium bodied with with a direction has a present and a future.
