Not your average rosado 𝓒𝓪𝓷 𝓢𝓾𝓶𝓸𝓲 𝓛𝓪 𝓡𝓸𝓼𝓪 2021 from #Penedes, Spain.
The latest endeavor in #natural #biodynamic winemaking from the sparkling Raventós I Blanc. The 20 hectares of Sumoll, Parellada and Xarel-lo are planted at 600 meters altitude in clay calcareous soils. This Rosado is A blend of 50% Sumoll, 30% Parellada, 20% Xarel·lo Hand harvested, destemmed and two hours of maceration on the skins then spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 18 days.
Vivant coral color reflects the bright aromatics of red berries, watermelon, citrus, touch of white blossom, fennel and chalky minerality.
The racy mouthwatering palate offers lively flavors of wild strawberry, sour cherry, tangerine, pink grapefruit zest, wild fennel fronds, grass and a black pepper & mint pop to a tangy gooseberry sourdough saline finish.
This is a definite summer quaffer at 11.8% abv and won’t break the bank at $20. The entire experience is vervy energy yet maintains a delicate nature.
