A Narragansett Gem
Prepare to be swept away by a local #narragansett historical hot spot.
Built in 1888, The Coast Guard House is a historic lifesaving station at 40 Ocean Road next to #narragansettbeach in Narragansett, Rhode Island until 1960s when they converted it into a restaurant.
Panoramic ocean views from every seat with a bible of a wine list, local seafood galore (but also other options for the non seafood or vegetarian lover) this gem is always hopping. Enjoy the freshly shucked local oysters, the Rhode Island Calamari or Pan Seared Scallops with Pork Belly, Corn Purée and Tomato Chutney. The Christophe Patrice Beauty Chablis 1er Cur 2022 was a perfect pairing for this exquisite meal.
Whether it be for a drink to watch the sunset by the rock wall, a family celebration or just because you love the excellent service (thanks Tyler) the convivial chill beach ambiance cannot be beat.
Next time you are in the area be sure to check this favorite spot of mine #rhodeisland
